How to make cake at home without oven
I am sharing Chocolate cake recipe in pressure cooker which is very soft and spongy. It can also be made in the oven. We uses curd and vinegar in it. We can also use buttermilk instead of curd. Use any good quality cocoa powder.
Ingredients for Eggless Chocolate and Cream Cake
For chocolate cake:
- Flour – 200 grams
- Baking powder – 1 table spoon
- Baking soda – ½ table spoon
- Butter – 100 grams
- Powdered sugar – 100 grams
- Melted Chocolate – 1/2 cup
- Condensed milk – 100 grams
- Milk – 200 grams
- Small pieces of Walnut – 1/4 cup
For cream nuts cake:
- Flour – 200 grams
- Baking powder – 1 table spoon
- Baking soda – 1/2 table spoon
- Butter – 60 grams
- Condensed milk – 200 grams
- Powdered sugar – 100 grams
- Milk – 100 gram
- Break Raisins – 5-6
- Pieces of Cashew nuts – 5-6
- Piece of Almonds -6-7
Preparation of mixture for chocolate cake
- Mix baking powder and baking soda into the flour
- then filter twice and keep in a utensil. Please sure that the ingredients blend well together.
- Heat butter till the time to melt it then put it in a big utensil along with sugar and chocolate.Mix in the same direction.
- Add milk into it and mix well.
- Pour 1/2 cup milk and blend this.
- Put flour half and mix all the material properly.
- Pour the rest milk and beat in the same direction till you get a smooth mixture.
- Put walnut pieces in same mixture and mix again.
- Chocolate cake mixture is ready.
Preparation of cream nuts cake mixture.
- Mix baking powder and baking soda to the flour then filter twice and keep in a utensil.
- Heat butter for some time to melt it then put it in a big utensil with sugar and Beat all the mix material in the same direction.
- Add milk and beat well.
- Now add milk and blend it.
- Put flour and beat in the same direction for a smooth mixture.
- Put cashew nuts and raisins into it.
- Oil the utensil to bake cake with Ghee.
- Put little flour in the utensil,
- Shake it and thin layer of flour is ready for spread.
- Greasing the utensil helps in taking out the cake easily once it’s cooked.
- Pour the chocolate mixture first in the greased utensil.
- After the chocolate mixture has spread out nicely in the utensil.
- Pour the nut cake mixture slowly on it so that it spreads out.
Cream Nuts cake mixture is ready.
HOW TO BAKE CAKE IN A PRESSURE COOKER
- It is a simple and easy way of make the eggless sponge cake recipe which we can make in pressure cooker. Cake recipes will work well in a pressure cooker too. We have already Prepared the batter and set aside.
- Use a pressure cooker that’s at least 3 – 5 litres in size. Last time I have had tried to make cakes in pressure cookers with 10 litres capacity and had success so size is not an issue. Cooking time and cake pan size may need to be accordingly.
- Remove the gasket (the rubber of cooker’s cover) on the lid of your p cooker. This is an very important step. Also remove the whistle as you also not require the whistle. You also don’t require to add any water to the pressure cooker.
- Use the Pressure cooker with stand that goes at the bottom of the cooker pan. It will distributes heat more evenly and is especially useful when baking cake in a cooker. If you don’t have this same thing, try to find a substitute. Another option is that to place the pressure cooker on a flat griddle or tawa and cook the cake.
- It’s better not to have the pan touch the bottom of the pressure cooker directly since that may cause the bottom of the cake to cook (burn) more rapidly. It’s just an precaution between the gas flame and the bottom of the cooker to protect the cake.
- Another important thing to remember is not to add any water to the pressure cooker pan for baking the cake. If you do you will be steaming the cake (which is also fine – in this way we can make steamed cake) but here we are are trying to make a cake without oven (in Pressure Cooker). This is the solution of if we have not microwave oven at home and question arises How to make cake at home without oven or how to make cake at home in pressure cooker. The heat generated in the pressure cooker will be enough to cook or bake the cake.
- Before starting to bake the cake, you need to pre-heat the pressure cooker. For this, just place the lid (without gasket rubber) on the cooker (which should not contain the water) and it should be cook on high heat for 2-3 mins.
- After placing the ready batter in bowl, close the lid and cook the cake on medium heat for 5-7 minutes and then low the flame to cook. Cake will be according to the size of your cake pan and pressure cooker. Cake will pack or you can take anywhere between after 1 hour of bake.
- Take out the cake from the cooker and poke with a knife. If the cake mix does not stick to it then the cake is ready(if the mix sticks to the knife then you have to bake the cake some more in cooker.
- Cake prepared in this way is very easy to cook and it solve the problem of how to make the cake at home without oven or how to make the cake in cooker. You can put the chocolate mixture on the cake later or as you desire.
- A pressure cooker is not for baking or using for cake so you should take some precautions if you are going to make a cake in cooker.
- Cooker should be used without gasket and whistle at the time of make the cake.
- Cake is cooker is ok but it should not be make regularly. Once or twice in a year is ok to make in cooker.
- Always check manufacturers instructions to make sure that you can make in cooker or not. It is advisable to use atleast 5 litre cooker. It should not be small in size.
- Surface should be witout water. You can put sand in cooker below the Cake pan.
